Coordinate repeat pickups across collection sites.

Give dispatch clear instructions for missed readiness or access issues.

Where MOVE fits

Local service built around your daily work.

Discuss scheduled pickups, urgent requests or a multi-stop route. The right arrangement depends on the material, timing and receiving requirements.

Routine specimen routes

Plan local collections from clinics and draw sites around ready times, receiving cutoffs and expected stop duration.

Time-sensitive requests

Review urgent pickup and delivery needs against route availability, material requirements and the requested receiving deadline.

Collection-site replenishment

Coordinate delivery of approved laboratory supplies and collection materials alongside a defined local service plan.

Accountability at each stop

Make the delivery record support the laboratory workflow.

Identify what must be checked at collection and who receives the material at the lab. Document the agreed handoffs and raise discrepancies through the established escalation process.

Keep pickup and completion events connected to the delivery.

Make exceptions visible instead of treating them as routine completion.

Questions, answered

Laboratory courier questions

Can multiple collection sites share a route?

Yes. Share all locations, ready times and laboratory deadlines. The sequence and pickup windows are reviewed before the route is confirmed.

Who determines specimen packaging requirements?

The shipping organization must identify the material and applicable preparation requirements. Packaging, labeling, handling and acceptance procedures must be confirmed for the particular service; courier pickup is not a substitute for proper preparation.

Can I request an urgent specimen pickup?

Send the exact locations, ready time, receiving deadline and handling needs. Dispatch availability and feasibility must be confirmed for that request.

How are collection exceptions handled?

Define the contact and escalation process during setup. Incomplete preparation, access issues or receiving changes should be raised for direction rather than silently treated as a normal handoff.
